As has become the custom in the District, there will be a Carol Service to help mark the beginning of the Christmas Season. The date has been set to ensure that there is a minimum chance of a clash with school activities or other Christmas events.
If you are attending please meet Leslie outside St.Chads – St Chad’s Church, Linden Avenue, Woodseats, Sheffield S8 0GA at 6.15pm.
Full uniform is to be worn. Dress to impress.
The collection will again be to support the Grace Food Bank which does good work in the area supporting those in food poverty. Please give any donations to Leslie.
At our recent Sheaf Scout Splash events, we ran a taster session of Underwater Hockey – also known as Octopush https://www.gbuwh.co.uk/
The session was run by our local club, The Sheffield Stingrays – also based at the Graves pool. The kids who took part really enjoyed it, not least as it was a bit different.
The Stingrays have now extended an open invite to any older Scouts or Explorers who would like to have another go. They meet every Friday at Graves between 8 and 9 pm and cater for boys and girls.
To find out more contact Phil Rhodes on email@example.com / 07453 876867 … or just turn up on a Friday.
