It’s climbing season!
Read carefully – depending on your AGE you will be doing different things!
We have a large troop of 33 scouts. It is impractical and unsafe to take over 30 out climbing at the same time. Tried and tested over the last few years, the leaders split the scouts into two ability/age groups over two weeks as follows:
Tuesday 16th June: Scouts aged 10 and 11 to attend. Please bring your scout notebook, a pen and a pencil. 12, 13 and 14 yr olds to have the night off.
Tuesday 23rd June: Scouts aged 12, 13 and 14 to attend. Please bring your scout notebook, a pen and a pencil. We will be climbing more challenging routes and I have some good ‘uns ready for you. 10 and 11 yr olds to have the night off.
I am flexible with regard to who attends which night. For example, 11 yr olds who are confident climbers may attend on the 23rd, and 13 yr olds who are less confident and want to climb easier routes can attend the 16th. Just text and ask me first.
For each night:
We’re meeting at High Neb car park at 6:30pm, which is further on past Popular End and Plantation End. Click here for a map and directions to the meeting place at High Neb car park.
Others things to think about:
- Small rucksack, waterproof, sun cream, midge cream, rock boots if you have them (because climbing in trainers is no-where near as good). WATER / SNACKS.
See you there!
